Description
It has always intrigued me why there are so few poses of people together, where they actually feel connected in any true way.
I have never quite understood why this is, why even joint poses portray an indifference of affection and connection,
My partnering process where my characters are put together and developed is one of my most valuable tools as a creator and especially as a writer, allowing me to learn and understood not just who a character is right now but who they will become and why.
With a batch of new characters coming to life, now felt the perfect time to start portraying the connected world, where characters aren't just together in narrative or image but also in some kind of feeling to go with it.
In a way this is about taking something and not only correcting it but also refining and honing it in the same way I shape a character, with the same passion and commitment too.
So there will be a few curiosities along the way as I will share all.
Aglaia of course you all know, my reimagining of a child I encountered on holiday many years ago, whereas Maura you will not know.
Maura is from Scorpio's worlds, she is an indigenous child, I know you are more than likely thinking that she doesn't look overly indigenous and you would be right, she's not, she is a curious side of conflict, having been found wandering either lost, abandoned or orphaned by war and comes to be absorbed by the tribe she now dwells among.
I'm quite fond of Maura she's quite a sweet character, fairly shy and reserved but quite playful and mischievous, she also breaches are largely silent and unknown rule of mine whereby once an item, piece of clothing etc is used by a character, then that becomes theirs and theirs alone.
So how fond of Maura am I?
That's Evelyn's hair on her head.

They do look good together. Love the body painting on Maura. As always, great work. :-)
