Despite the retro background, this is quite a frightening view of a future where we are mentally locked with computers. Who controls who in this situation?
Very good question. Perhaps we need a total reset for AI and put it back on drawing board?
It may be too late to put the genie back in the bottle. Humans are already totally dependent on machines. A reset could end the reign of humanity as the dominant species on this planet.
We were once inferior to dinosaurs and other predators. We climbed the ladder once, so it shouldn't be too difficult second time around :)
There may be hope then. :-)
