They had traveled beyond the safety margins of the station.
Navarre drew a deep breath as he pressed the intercom button and selected Engineering.
"Blue," He called out. "Are we a go?"
"Green across the board." Her voice was steady through the speaker.
His face broke into a broad smile as he placed his fingers on the drive controls.
"Here we go."
The stars on the main view screen burst into streaks of light.
"Warp three." He commented evenly. He pressed the controls further. The flashes of light and streaks doubled on the screen.
"Warp six." Navarre beamed with pride. "Holding steady. Nice job."
"Thanks, Skipper." Blue was actually giggling.

Oh I remember that from The Motion Picture. I'll be THAT GUY, and say I like the movie. It looked cool in the theater way back when.
