Description
Two of them this time! I tried a funky glass shader on his shades, but no matter what I did, Daz kept throwing red farlky sparkles, so I settled on what you see.
Just a character I had in my head from the old story I'd done. I always wanted to give him a render. Sadly, I lack an appropriate crew uniform, so here he is in civvies. If anyone has a good line on a flight suit for G8 figures, let me know.
I was last months years old when I found out that there is in fact, such a thing as a shift captain for large ships, so I don't have to demote him to a mere Officer of the Watch (3rd shift). I kinda figured him for an older fellow, and this might be the last interstellar ship he serves on before retirement. It's a big heap the size of Manhattan Island, so not a bad gig to go out with.

Thanks! I wanted him to look more serious. Darius for G8M seemed to fit the bill wilt little to no fiddling. Until I found out there are shift captains (A captain who serves under a ships captain) He didn't make much sense.
The Chief Engineer on large ships can also hold a captains rank, but that position is not in the ships chain of command. In Star Trek, for instance, neither Scotty, nor Geordi Laforge would ever hold watch positions, neither would Beverly Crusher, or Dianna Troy. Neither of their MOS are anywhere near the chain of command, ever.

As for sci-fi flight-suit type thingies DAZ have matching items for G8M and G8F, I just found them in my product history. Search "Spaceship Jumpsuit Outfit". I tried to find something here but could not find anything with matching versions for both sexes, though my search-fu is a bit rusty.
