Description
The Giant Antpitta is largely found in Ecuador, but also occurs in southernmost Colombia, where it inhabits humid and wet primary, montane forests. Although it prefers level ground with swampy areas, it has occasionally been seen on the steep East and West slopes of the Andes.
Its diet consists of large beetles, grubs, slugs, and giant earthworms.
