Description
__ ...These photos processed in B/W were originally shot in colour, with my Nikon camera. I've always been fascinated by the photographers of the past century working with those rugged unsophisticated film cameras whose limitations were seen as artistic. B/W photography with modern digital cameras is fine by me, though it often lacks that oldish high-contrasted blurred definition, that you may only retrieve today through sophisticated software programs!
__Here 's a few B/W snapshots then, with the following credits and presentation for each photo:
• The elegant 'wings' of the Fondation Louis Vuitton, a museum designed to "make modern art and culture accessible to all" according to its CEO, manager of the LVMH group ( a top French leader in luxury industry).
• La Samaritaine, originally founded in 1870, one of the oldest department stores of the French capital city, that I chanced to shoot here on the very day of its re-opening after five years of renovation works, on June 23rd ,2021.
• A statue of the Buddha, exhibited in the Museum of Asian Arts 'Guimet' (Paris), a museum really worth the visit, with outstanding collections from all Asian countries.
• A 'fountain-spring' sculpture by artist Jean-Michel Othoniel, in the Gardens of the Palace of Louis XIVth in Versailles.
__ Thank you so much for your words of support on my previous Steampunk post ! Have a nice and artistic week and forthcoming weekend !

really some superb set B&W photos.
Great captures!
Great shots from Paris! Nice!
Had to fave as these are gorgeous captures :)
Wonderful set of photos!
really nice shots
These images look fantastic no matter the color my friend...when a talented photographer takes the image, it matters not what color they may be. I must admit that I have always had a special fondness for Black and White photography. These are all favorites for sure with me.
I also want to thank you for the awesome support you have shown my animations. I greatly appreciate you visiting my gallery and leaving those wonderful comments for me to read. Enjoy the day my friend! :-)
All beautiful shots! I just love the perspective on that second shot and the rush of the water in the last!
Eh bien mon ami Karma ! ❤
True, the emotions are more intense in B/W. Thanks to give us these unique experiences ... with historical documentation.
Scènes fascinantes. Paris doit être un endroit très intéressant. J'adorerais aller à La Samaritaine!
Great photos, and La Samaritaine could be a very good beginning for steampunk 3d location.
J'adore
Digital is easier, but I loved doing dark room stuff. I did not like electrocuting myself IN the dark room, but that's another story.
Realy Gorgeous!!
Excellent captures
Respect how you have captured these special images, the first and the last, they are so intriguing and special. What I also like is the diversity of the photos, each with its own atmosphere. Thanks also for the information, it is a beautiful photo series.
Beautiful
Excellent b&w photo.
This series of B&W photos is very striking!
B&W photos never go out of style. Nice shot.
