A wonderful reinterpritation and role reversal here. I'm particularly struck by how the cat's attention has gone from tormenting the bird under the table to pestering the man, as if he is now the hapless object of cuisrcumstance, with his expression suggesting it is he that is experiencing the epiphany. Changing the piano to a harmonium is intersting too; shifting the tone of the scene from one of dalliance has to one of devotion.

C'est nettement plus agréable à regarder que l'original qui est un peu lourdingue. Je connaissais La Lumière du Monde de Hunt à travers un livre de SF (Blitz peut-être - Connie Willis). L'horloge est très pittoresque. Je l'ai cherchée et trouvée (Sketchfab).
