Description
Dr. Marissa Anderson felt her heart swell with pride as she gazed out over her homestead on planet GL-649-I, which the colonists had named Mohave. There's something special about being part of the first group of colonists to arrive on a new world. This was genuinely a new frontier, 33.9 light years from Earth. It was going to be tough. It had already been tough; her husband Jeff had died before they'd even arrived. But she had faith they would make it.
Her daughter Kimberly wasn't quite sure about that. Or if they did, she didn't know if it would be worth the cost. But she had promised she would do her best, and she intended to keep that promise. Only time would tell if her best would be enough.
