Sadly this year there is no 3D Holiday Freebie from me. Since June my time has been filled with painting handmade watercolor and mixed media cards to raise money for people living in poverty here in Belgium. More than 1.7 million people in my country live in poverty. That is more than one in seven. It still breaks my heart every time I read that number. Poverty isolates people and takes away so many chances that should belong to everyone. I am honestly overwhelmed and grateful that I already reached my initial goal. It means so much to me. But I will continue to paint and create until December 25th because there is still so much need, and every little bit matters. All proceeds go to Welzijnszorg vzw and support more than 100 projects in Belgium. They focus on concrete help and on opening doors toward a fairer future for people who are being left behind. I truly believe we can make a difference with art, kindness and the things that make us who we are. Even the smallest gesture can carry warmth to someone who really needs it.
