Looks like Steve (eekdog) and I both had a pretty decent sunset a couple nights ago!
I got outside just in time to catch the last few minutes, thanks to Jo letting me know about it. I wish I’d had time to get my little Mavic drone in the air above all the ground clutter. Another day…
I’m afraid I have some discouraging news… It’s going to be a little longer delay getting back into the TNA story – again. This *&%^&$^* computer is having some serious issues. I don’t want to, but I may be forced to format the C: drive and reload everything fresh.
It has Windows 10 and isn’t compatible with Win-11 according to Microsoft. So, I’m also thinking about a new PC if I can afford it. We shall see..
In the meantime I’ll be working on the next TNA page as I can, and trying to get this beast back in shape. Wish me luck!

That is gorgeous. I think having the trees and stuff silhouetted against it helps the colors pop. Nice shot

That's the trouble with planned obsolescence. We're forced to upgrade whether we like it or loathe it. Still, neat sunset.
Dazzling shot, my friend! It's like the sky goes on forever. Where I live you can't walk fifty feet without going uphill or downhill. I think it makes the moon closer somehow. LOL. Good luck with the computer, buddy.

I really like it! It reminds me a bit of the colorful sunsets in the African savanna; unfortunately, we very, very rarely (if ever!) get to see something like that here in Europe!

Another eye treat from your home...eye candy---beautiful sunset, with trees silhouetted like they were wise souls...As a photographer, I've often wanted to shout---at sunsets---"can you hold these colors for a minute???" Sunrises and sunsets come-and- go too damned quickly. We should be able to shout, "Hold it! Don't move! A llittle to the right---that's it----perfect!--- Now let's try it again..."
Reading your text, we artists really need a second life, ya know that? A life parallel to our "main" one---where we can just create and share to our heart's content. We're always saying "I'm working on this project, and I'll be finished by February!" I mean it's just what we artists do and say! (I could fill a book with WIP's.) When we finally finish, it's soooooo good---until the call comes to start another one. Do you think god, at Creation, shouted---"I'll post the animals tomorrow---I promise! I have them all ready---I just need to get this *$$<#@!!!!!" computer to work! 2500 bucks and it won't start! For those of you who wondered why the sun disappeared yesterday---Sorry! Damned scammers...I'll have it up by friday at the latest!"
really, if I could wave a wand so you'd have all the time in the world to be in peace, be at one with your beloved wife (who'd be entirely healed), and create, create, create, I'd do it in a hearbeat. The sky in this shot owes you! (Beautiful hues and shadows.)
Well, even thouh I've only commented on 5 images, I'm at over an hour. I'll be back for more soon, but as always I wish you all the healing and peace in the world for jo and for you. (Why can't we restart our present lives the way one can restart a computer! Just say, "hold on---" and you hit "restart," and the universe goes black, then it all comes back (after a "ding"), and it's all FIXED! I mean all the problems were FIXED! The RAM is cleared, the corruption gone, and it's brand new! Oh if someone would program that into life...I'd give 'm a nobel prize. I send all my prayers and love and wishes to both of you. All my very best!
LOL - With my luck, after I hit 'restart' everything would reboot, and go to 300 DPI, 356 colors, and Photoshop Version 01.001! 🤣
I do yell at the clouds sometimes.... "Hey! WTF? You just blocked out all the crimson-amber highlights!" LOL
