Description
Improvised airfield somewhere in Russia in late afternoon after a hard day in 1942. The Messerschmitt Bf 109 belongs to the then famous JG74 Grünherz-Geschwader. That means green heart squadron No. 74. The painted green heart is hidden by the wing, but you can see a small part of it. It was one of the most successful German squadrons in 1942 with many aces with 100 and more scores.

NIcely done! I like the figures, especially the pilots discussing the day's sorties. The set with the wood revetments and wood aircraft pad really adds a lot to the scene, and addition of the rocks that have been kicked onto the pad is a nice touch too. Very nice!
