Dear Rendosians !
This evening, I share with you a picture captured in a Christmas Market in Alsace (France) last week...
In Alsace and Lorraine, you can see during Advent time cute Christmas Markets where you can find some gifts to offer, Christmas ornaments, and eat some street food. You can also drink some mulled wine.
On this picture of Christmas ornaments, you can see some alsacian popular items. The stork, for example is the symbol of this region. You can also see ornaments with the shape of a male or a female cookie : they are named "Mannele" (for the boy) and Mädele (for the girl) and are famous in this part of France, as well in Germany, Switzerland or Luxembourg.
I dedicate this image to my long time friend and supporter Gaius who told me he liked Christmas Markets, especially in Alsace.

Wonderful story and capture!
So nice. We don't even have many stores where I live. Downtown is a desolation. And the mall evaporated. Best we got is a Walmart and a Target.
J'ai de la famille à Strasbourg et, chez eux, Noël a une très grande importance. La plus grande fête de l'année avec le Nouvel An. Ta photo évoque bien l'abondance du Marché de Noël à Strasbourg!

Cette très belle photo résume à elle seule l'engouement populaire pour les marchés de Noël alsaciens qui n'ont guère de concurrents sérieux sauf peut-être leurs congénères de Forêt-Noire, de l'autre côté de la frontière. Tu as su réunir ici tous les ingrédients et symboles forts de la magie de Noël, et à y regarder de plus près, ne manque plus dans le cadre de ta photo de saison, que l'odeur des 4 épices, et celle des dés d'orange confite, du gingembre et de la cannelle ! Chapeau l'artiste !
