My preference is image #1. The SSS is more under control except that your subsurface value is still too high. For the Scatter Radius you are using, the Subsurface value should be set to 0.01 - 0.015, otherwise, you will continue to see the blue-tint artifact, especially around the mouth. If you use a larger mesh model, like a dragon, you may need to increase the Subsurface value to achieve the same effect as a smaller human figure. Subsurface Scatter is dependent on mesh size and density.
The bump distance values between the different renders appear decent; if the maps contain significant detail, you may not need to increase the values too high.
