I'm just Molly. Mrs. Mike was my ID for many years when I modeled for my deviant husband, Mike B. It was Mike that introduced me to Poser.
I have modeled in real life a bit. My introduction to 3d imaging was through making pictures of my adventures in Second Life and over the more than15 years I've been learning Poser and making Poser pictures. In real life, I am a near completely retired health care professional and a full time grandma. In my digital life I am a Second Life heroine, a Second Life villainess and here and at Deviant Art I'm a budding 3D artist.
My next big project is to learn Blender.

Hey this looks good. At first I thought you used a volumetric cube to get the atmosphere. The bloom is just right and love the pov and people going about.
Thanks, my dear! I DID use a volumetric cube with a really subtle atmosphere. I struggled a lot with the PoV so I am very pleased that you think it works. I always appreciate your comments! =)

Love those retro cabs you have used in this seasonal creation..........and always appreciate your tech notes
Thank you, LP. I'm thinking you are a DAZ Studio user so I'm never sure my technical notes are of much use to you and a lot of other folks; I appreciate you encouraging me to continue sharing them. The retro cabs came with the Blue Tree Studio and even though they are a bit anachronistic for a contemporary image I decided to use them. They ARE cool, aren't they! =)

superior attmo with the cars lights and hue around them. most thrilling work Molly. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Thanks, ED! I really appreciate such a nice comment! <3

A very masterful and gorgeously detailed image, Molly! Love everything about it! I wish you a very Merry Christmas!
Thank you, Rad! I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season! <3
Molly
Beautiful job on lighting and atmosphere. Great setting.
Thank you, Uncollared. I'm glad you like the lighting and atmosphere as that is Molly art. The rest of it is the work of Stewart at Blue Tree Studios and a lot of other great content creators. =)

Une composition très vivante et superbe création, bonne fête!!
Merci pour vos aimables paroles d'appréciation. J'espère que vous passerez de joyeuses fêtes de fin d'année!
Molly
extremely well composed. my absolute favourite bit are the folks in the back going into the store: the woman in the doorway, father & child, the gentleman walking in the opposite direction...such goooood body language/posing which makes it FEEL quite believable and alive. and yes, the bloom is just spot on & handled w. great finesse and a good eye/judgement, keeping it from going over the top [i'm tired of over done blooms, tbh]. i also really like the catch of the headlight on the guy on our far right who is wearing a green top & how the shaders here are also doing their job rather well in adding depth to light & the fall off there of... super work, imo. happy holidays, Molly.
Thank you for such a helpful positive critical review, Giana! <3 I'm glad the bloom was just right as I agree it is WAY overdone in a lot of images I've looked at lately. >.< I'm very pleased you saw the posing of the characters as creating little tableaus of relationship and activity. I had a bits of story in mind for all the characters in the foreground and the poses were supposed to reveal a bit of that.
I spent a ridiculous amount of time fussing with the image so your comment is SO welcome! XD
Molly
Love all the details! Great image.
Thank you for such a lovely comment! It's always lovely to hear from you! =)

Great holiuday scene, Characters are diverse and interesting, and i am of course drawn to the vehicle. I like the murky look to the aptosphere which conveys the season - if it it's not snowing, irt should be foggy as though trying....
Was cloudy here. Rain came after :)
Hope the first part of your holidays were great Molly, and the rest will be also.
Thank you, JD. In some ways, the picture is lacking in something for me but I am technically pleased with how it came out. The murky dankness is much more like Christmas weather around these parts. ;-)
Although the holiday is past in American celebration (starts day after Thanksgiving and ends promptly at midnight on Christmas day) I've always been more of the mindset that observes the 12 days of Christmas beginning on Christmas day and ending 12 days later on January 6th (the Epiphany in traditional Christian liturgy). I'm pretty secular in my observance of these days but was raised a Roman Catholic and upbringing never goes completely away.
So, Happy Christmas and warm, happy holiday time to you, my dear! =)
Molly
Stellar work as usual, outstanding atmosphere and lighting, brilliant awesome render.
Magnificent Masterpiece of Finest Arts. I love it! Happy New Year 2024, my dear Molly!😊💝🥰🎄🥂
Thank you, Marius! A happy New Year to your, too! <3

I lost track of how many times I have looked at your render, I'm not sure if it's the amazing lighting or the overall 'look' that draws me, but it's my big favourite, congratulations Molly!
Thank you! I spent a long time with this one and wasn't sure that it would really catch anyone's eye as there is little action in it; it's just a "slice of life". =)
Molly
Wow I can't believe I missed this one I'm so behind on commenting. You did so well with the posing and placement of the figures that really brings this image to life. Didn't get snow for Christmas but it's definitely here now.
Thanks, Randy. This was one of those pictures that I felt was missing something but I decided to post it anyway. I'm glad I did as the comment have been mostly very kind and helpful. As for snow? I have to admit I am a fan of snow to look at but not to go out and walk and drive in. We've gotten it here, too. Brrr! XD
