Wonderful image! I downloaded Blender recently in an attempt to create and/or modify props to use in my story line. Truthfully, I suck at it, but I'll keep practicing... who knows, in a couple of months I might be able to create a box. 😂

For Your Aims You may need only a few Techniques and Shortcuts for manipulating, selecting and grouping Vertices, Mapping as well. You dont have to do all Modeling of Cloth by Yourself, the Trend goes clearly towards ADDONS. Those may be usefull for You:
