__ ...somewhere in the 'One-Thousand Ponds' region close to the Vosges mountains in the East of France, last Sunday.The phrase 'Far from the madding crowd' often comes to mind under such circumstances, for me, and it echoes the popular novel by Thomas Hardy. It was simply quite a relaxing and enjoyable outing...on a peaceful Fall Sunday afternoon !

Des photos d'une grande beauté et comme porteuses d'un message de paix...en tout cas, elles invitent à la contemplation, au repos et ça fait grand bien par les temps (sans parler du climat !) qui courent. Et, comme tu le notes, cerise sur le gâteau, on ne voit personne...quel bonheur !

Well Jean-Luc, you have hit nostalgia for me! My step father was a logger and I was fortunate to go with him sometimes as a very young child so I have seen many places with logs like this, beautiful capture! And how amazing are the reflections in that beautiful scene, always a fav of mine, stunning capture!!! Thank you so much for the memories and the serenity!

Oh ! J'ai failli rater ces deux superbes photographies de ta région. Tu as souvent parlé de la région des 1000 lacs et je comprends pourquoi ! Quel heureux homme tu es de pouvoir prendre le temps de te promener dans cet endroit charmant. La lumière automnale est parfait pour mettre en valeur ces beaux paysages. Bien vu et bien pris !
