Description
Just experimenting with spaceships again...trying to get things lit correctly. Unfortunately, my attempts to convert these older sets to iRay don't always work out nicely. But, I managed to get the white thruster glow on the X-Wing working nicely. I never did see any thrust on the Tie fighters (of any variety) in the movies, so I'm assuming those red dots are the thrusters (Tie = Twin Ion Engine IIRC).
But had to go crazy with spotlights on this and I hate spotlights in iRay.
Next step, figure out best way to generate blaster bolts for these scenes...
But, Vanishing Point did awesome work on these ships. My hat is off to the artist/studio.

Wonderful image my friend, You could post work the blaster maybe brushes just a thought :)
Hmmmm....that's a thought. My Gimp-Fu or even Photoshop-Fu is much better around photo cleanup than graphics, but worth a shot (pun intended).

Thank you. I'm looking forward to doing some with other ships and franchises. And some of the freebies already have their own Space background that shows up for reasons I haven't figured out yet. But, bless the artists who post freebies to sharecg. And here, I've found some wonderful freebies here at Renderosity's site as well.

Thanks...yeah, lighting with the space scenes is something I'm still working on...IRAY and space...still a piece I'm missing.
