___ A week ago to the day, I was on an outing in snowshoes in this part of the countryside that lies along the borders with Switzerland, in the Jura mountains. A wonderful hiking time under an excruciatingly cold though sunny weather, following a couple of days of heavy snowfalls.A regenerating and refreshing opportunity to forget for a couple of hours about the current pseudo-lockdown in France, that the word 'curfew' has by now taken over from...

This photo reminds me of when I still lived on your family farm, going out into a very brisk, clear cold morning and breathing the icy cold air! Magnificent image! Great memory. But I will have to say, I don't miss the cold and snow one teeny tiny little bit! I am very happy to be away from it here in Arizona's Valley of the Sun.

Très belle photo mais qui me glace jusqu'à la moelle des os...je dis toujours à un (possible) cousin qui vit dans le Jura, sur les plateaux, que ces gens-là sont à moitié eskimos (ou autre orthographe admise). Ici, dans les Alpes déjà du sud, on peut faire de superbes balades dans la neige mais avec des froids plus humains !

Simple yet pleasant and elegant winter scene. Like the silvery-gray touch on all the foliage.
You know, scenes like this actually make me feel torn inside. On the one hand, I do kind of regret not having the chance to experience winter first-hand, to feast my eyes on all the beautiful snowscapes. But on the other, the extreme cold would be pure misery for me, as I'm very much a hothouse flower!

Awesome photograph! You live in a beautiful country! I live in San Diego, California, the nearest snow to me is about 90 minutes away in the Laguna Mountains. It's mostly sunny here, with temperatures in the low 50's at night! Excellent and we'll done!
