The Golden Avenger was wondering who this mysterious winged creature was and why he had brought him, the young girl and her mouse companion to this place. Clearly the winged man (?) was a being who wielded great power. But was he friendly or hostile? Then, abruptly, the creature spoke: "Fret not, Earthlings! I harbor no ill intent in taking you here. For I am one of the Nefilim, a race of beings your kind spoke of as the angels, who have evolved beyond the Material Plane eons ago and freed ourselves of the woes of mortal existence through becoming one with the Light. We have made it our mission to impart to all beings still trapped in the prison of the flesh the same priceless knowledge that will enable them to achieve the same. Beings such as you! "In truth we are formless, yet do we assume this form so you may see, hear and comprehend. We visit your planet once every 2,400 years, and the last time we came your kind prospered from our guidance and virtue reigned everywhere. Alas, many among you were still so deeply mired in the darkness of material illusion that your world reverted to its previous nefarious ways and callous disregard for all life soon after we left, and now the forces of greed, enmity and ignorance run rampant on your planet, threatening your very survival as a species. But we have returned, so rejoice, for your sorrows are at an end and you now stand at the threshold of a new age of healing and light!"
