Description
These scoundrels and scalawags are a superstitious lot. Having a cat aboard all but guarantees the good fortune and safety of ship and crew. A black cat being most desired as it brings the best of luck. (Of course, on the practical side, a working cat earns its place onboard by killing rats and mice which are a menace to food supplies, ropes and woodwork etc.)
It was only a fleeting glimpse, but Papoo knew it was no wharf rat he saw but a cat, black as the shadows that hid it from his sight. He will search until he finds it, now WHERE'S that CAT??
Hope your weekend is a great one, and again thanks for looking in. Your feedback is always welcome and appreciated.

Lovely piece of work. The cat will be downstairs, eating Papoo's tea.
