I painted this image knowing the head of the other player is down in the background. But i thought it would be a powerfu statement as the two players really get into they music. 18x24

I agree with all the comments, this is wonderful. The man's head, bowing down, just intensifies the painting, because---yes---it shows how deeply musicians dive into their work. And also, his head gives a black backdrop to the clarinet. You painted the gold metal on the clarinet beautifully: It's like gold rings on a deep ebony rod. And the clarinet player's face and head are wonderfully absorbed in playing; and you caught him leaning back---which musicians do in moments of great absorption---and he appears to be in ecstasy. Wonderful browns and peach-browns. And I love your paint strokes, they're so bold. Beautifully done and composed---the whites of the shirts are perfect where they are; they provide the center to the piece. Besides being a superb painter, you capture musicians as well as any painter I've ever known or studied. You are a great 'voice' for musicians everywhere.
