I did this painting from a fest. of Roots. that was in Lake Charles . I do not know the singer name. I will post a photo of her in the photo gallery.

The BG with the brick wall behind the singer playing the rub board, changes the whole idea now, compared to the original photo you had posted and gives it a totally different slant to it, more like a street busker - quite hypnotising and alluring... incredible work.

Wonderfully done Jock! The light is splendid and there is so much expressivity in the face of this singer. I love the contrast and your choice of colors! You created abstraction from a real situation and i truly love your achievement! The way you drew the bricks is very creative...the way you painted them and the light you gave them, as well as the colors, transform your background into a curious imaginary. I really do love this !
