Description
Hi, I’m Prince Bacna va Trilla Emeton ton Tylan. Forgive me for speaking slowly. It helps me to not stutter. Yeah, I’m the crippled simpleton. I’m not really. Everybody just thinks that because I stutter and have trouble walking sometimes. There were a lot of complications when Mom was pregnant with me. They ended up having to induce labor or we both would have died. Even then I almost didn’t make it. My lungs weren’t fully developed and I couldn’t breathe properly. Shunati had to help me. He also encouraged my lungs to finish developing quickly so I could breathe on my own.
My arms and legs were also deformed and badly bent. I can’t imagine what I looked like. Most thought I wouldn’t make it and it would be kinder to put me out of my misery. But those whose opinions counted wanted me to live. They broke my arms and legs several times to try to straighten them. My one leg still has problems and my shoulder will dislocate easily so I have to be careful of that. For as bad as it hurts, you’d think I’d learn. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve dislocated it.
There had once been talk about me being the prince general, but with my leg and shoulder, I can’t enlist. I still train with them some and am quite a skilled fighter. Even Remmy has problems beating me if he doesn’t dislocate my arm. I’m getting better at ignoring the pain though and I think someday I’ll be able to fight despite it.
Instead of being in charge of the army, I’ll be in charge of the finances. I’m quite good with numbers. I hope I’ll be able to use that to make a difference.
