Just a sketcher; I use graphite, charcoal, and sometimes fine felt tip inks. Update; my wife gave me Poser 7 for my birthday in Oct of 2008, and scifibabe gave me much needed pointers; I use Gimp and a Wacom tablet for post work. i also have endless characters and their worlds floating around in my head, and sometimes i write about them thanks to all kindred dreamers that check out my scenes and stories

excellent
Absolutely beautiful depiction of a, sadly, much overlooked heroine.
fave'd ... Blue eyes, brown eyes, any eyes are welcome highlights of this exquisite portrait of my favorite winged character. I'm thrilled by how you've chosen to depict her, with a pronounced Native American cast. The fringe that was so much a part of her look since she debuted with the Legion 33 years ago is mostly absent here, and it's a quite pleasant change. I've been partial to that fringe, but it never quite worked with a genuine, active interstellar-void traveler, as it'd get in her way. Here, the close-cropped leathers show much more of her heritage and remain visually compelling — you're drawn to look longer at her. The criss-cross panels are more straightforward and appropriate as well. I never was that fixed on her look having to be low-cut (or, let's face it, a "front window," more recently). You've added, instead, to the shoulders and legs that she shows, and that works better. More skin, yet less distracting. I haven't yet seen that stunning flying position for her, either. Believe me, folks, I KNOW whereof I speak. I'm probably the biggest Dawnstar fan of the past 20 years — the fellow who was for her first 15 told me so last night {g} — and my online and offline image collections bear me out. You'll be the demise of my monitor yet, amigo. I have four Grimslade works now elevated into desktop rotation on my new widescreen LCD. This is the best of them all. ... Damn! I don't get to make the first comment! It's the wordiest, though, you'll see in a while. Trust me. He deserves it.
Great looking character! Nice rendering. I remember the comic book character, too.
Excellent Image and Work
Magnificent image!!
Awesome work my friend, very cool character and pose!
Nice incarnation of Dawnstar, I see she has reverted back to her native clothing style, although the shiny golden spandex does have it's merits...hehe ! Well done & ~Cheers~

One fabulous render my friend, outstanding artwork love it.
Fantastic!!!
I have to say Ray I love your version of her. You always put so much thought into the characters you bring to life. We also have members of the family on my Dad's side that are Native American.
